John Innes Centre

March 20, 2018

As part of my second issue for Ephemera magazine I conducted a primary research trip to the John Innes Centre on the outskirts of Norwich. The centre is world renowned for crop, genetic mutation and agricultural research. Inhabiting a seed bank, greenhouse cycle testing on wheat crops and an amazing botanical illustration archive.  I went there expecting to explore specifically about Thale Cress, the weed, but received a wealth of information on many different areas of agriculture connected to the centre as well as leads to learn more about Thale cress.
